Author's Notes:

Today's comic introduces the new character, QM, the Quartermaster of the Seaworthy. And this requires a little explanation...

In the infantry armed forces, the quartermaster was (and still is) the officer in charge of the soldiers' quarter: food, lodging, and supplies. On a ship, however, the quartermaster is the officer on the quarterdeck, which is where the ship's navigational operations take place. Well, QM is a quartermaster in the Army, rather than Navy, sense of the word. As the sign on the door suggests, QM also acts as the purser (treasurer) and the master-at-arms (armorer) for the ship. In essence, he is the ship's accountant. So who acts as the NAVAL quartermaster of the ship? The Captain, of course. Silly ranks.

The production of this comic was rather a challenge for me. It's somewhat longer than the usual Seaworthy comic length, and often that can mean a significantly longer time spent on the drawing, inking, and coloring steps. Also, my hand was shaking like a leaf while I was trying to ink this, so it's amazing that it came out looking somewhat smooth. Honestly, I'm glad this one's done. But I'm looking forward to the next one...
