Author's Notes:

Okay, in today's episode, the Captain has a hallucination about Eris, the Goddess of Discord, who happens to be represented by the Seaworthy's figurehead. I'll bet you didn't know that tainted sauerkraut could do that to you (or that sauerkraut could even expire)! Well, it can. The Captain's patron goddess appears before him in what I suspect is a fairly common vision for goddess-worshippers (and a fairly good excuse to draw the luscious Eris disrobing). I'm sure Eris would have a good sense of humor about this comic.

I'm afraid that understanding some of the dialogue in this comic is dependent on the reader having read/studied the Principia Discordia which is a great holy text about the Discordian Society, a religion for people who don't take religion seriously (I think more people should be like that). In any case, it's worth a read; it's probably the best religion that came out of the Beatnik movement! Enjoy the comic, and read up on the Discordian Society if you're interested. Hail Eris!
