Author's Notes:
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! At least to the Americans out there who celebrate it. I'll bet you were probably curious about how the first Thanksgiving could have possibly happened the way that "historians" say it did. After all, weren't the Indians constantly the subject of the white settler's torment and mistreatment? And didn't they fight back? Weren't these two groups at war with each other? Well, the answer is: maybe. I'm no historians; I may be right and I may be wrong. But what I do know for sure is that the arguments are a moot point, because the actual first Thanksgiving happened as depicted in the lower panel of today's comic. I'm assuming that the first Thanksgiving-style banquet was probably held between early European explorers and the cannibal inhabitants of the nice island that they landed on only the week before. And there you have it!
Well, my treatment of history may not be entirely accurate, such as my depiction of the Plymouth Indians having Plains-style dress, and the fact that there was probably little in the way of cannibalism among the Carib and Arawak Indians (but Brazil had its share). But that's okay, I'm making offensive mistakes like this in the name of comedy! I hope everyone enjoyed their turkey and whatnot today! Stay tuned later this weekend for a sneak preview of the upcoming INCENTIVE COMIC series in December! Happy Thanksgiving!
