- Name: Conrad
- Rank: Midshipman
- DOB: June 10, 1688
- Hails from: The Free City of Bremen
|
Conrad signed on with Captain Strathclyde during the latter's first, and only known, recruiting trip to Europe. This trip turned out to be a nuisance for several European governments, with coastal incidents reported by the Kingdoms of France and Prussia, and the Republic of the Netherlands. It is in the Free Hanseatic District of Bremen, however, that the Seaworthy seems to have caused the most trouble, including drunken brawling, indecent public behavior, and the destruction of the City Wharf. We know that after this debacle, Conrad's name first appeared on the ship's charter.
Conrad is a prominent figure among the common crewmen aboard the Seaworthy. Along with his Welsh friend, Jeffrys, the two of which are nigh unseparable, they have the most encounters with danger and bodily harm on the ship. Conrad really acts as a general purpose sailor; however, since Captain Strathclyde insists on keeping with the naval traditions of Britain, he has given Conrad the honorary rank of Midshipman. However, he is not considered part of the Officers' Club, and is really little more than a deckswabber. The source of his devotion to the Captain and his motives is unexplainable, and must be tied to some event in the unknown past.
