The Welshman Jeffrys made his mark in the Seaworthy's charter before Strathclyde made his first incursion into the Caribbean, where he had his first undistinguished tour-of-duty as a deckhand. It was after the German sailor, Conrad, join the crew that Jeffrys started to take a more active role in the ship's activities. Before long, he received the honorary rank of Midshipman along with Conrad in a double-promotion. Since then, he has been subject to numerous mishaps and generally dangerous conditions along with the rest of the Seaworthy's finest.

Little else is known about this Welshman, except that he shares a birthday with his friend and coworker, Conrad. There are few people in Swansea that remember more than his name. Some mention that he had something of a name down in Cardiff, but this lead has not been pursued.
