Name: Quinn Mathers (aka QM)
Rank: Quartermaster, Armorer, Purser, and Master-at-Arms
DOB: May 18, 1672 (Accounting Day)
Hails from: London, England

QM, as he is referred to aboard the Seaworthy, spends most of his time in his office, located in the hold of the ship next to the treasury. He is the self-proclaimed "Quartermaster" of the ship, though technically his duties include (as stated on his door) Armorer, Purser, and Master-at-Arms. In essence, he is the ship's accountant, keeping track of the money and resources kept aboard. His title is a misnomer that stems from his previous service in the British Army, where his rank of Quartermaster included provisioning for the infantry. Before his stint in the army, QM earned top marks in mathematics at Cambridge University, and showed a general knack for accounting and bookkeeping. His eventual desire for a life at sea may possibly be traced back to his time as a coxswain on his old school rowing team, one of several sports that QM participated in during his college years.

Now, much older and experienced in his career and journeys, QM is something of a tightwad when it comes to allocating supplies or gold to the Captain or his crew. Very protective of the fancy equipment that he is sometimes able to procure in various ports, QM always lets borrowers know exactly what will happen to them if they do not return these items in their original, pristine condition. QM may not be a veteran sailor like Bellfont or Tess, but he offers his counsel to the Captain whenever he can contribute, typically in money matters. However, QM has a unique past as compared with the old salts around him, and his perspective comes in handy in a variety of situations.
